This one of a kind Saleen mustang was designed and built by Steve Saleen/Jim D'Amore of JDM Engineering for full intensive drag racing purpose. The car was painted and assembled in Troy Michigan at the Saleen facility by Brian Chambers and Todd Helm's in preperation for Team JDM to install a certified roll cage, engine, transmission, suspension, and full drivetrain. After the Extreme #001S was sent back to New Jersey Jim fitted the car with its full suspension and racing equipment. The car has been NHRA certified to run as fast as 8.50 and up to 180 mph in the 1/4 mile.
